Shipping Policy – Avara Home
Freight Shipping
Many of the items we sell at Avara Home are too large and/or heavy to ship with standard postal carriers.
As of 01/01/2024, all orders under $199 will incur a $19.95 shipping charge due to increasing freight costs.
These larger items will be shipped via a freight carrier. We reserve the right to choose which freight carrier delivers your shipment.
Freight shipments are dropped off at your curb. The driver is not expected to bring items inside, into the backyard, or upstairs. Please plan ahead and have help available to move large or heavy items if needed.
Freight shipping is more complex than regular postal delivery due to the size and weight of the products. Delays may occur and are beyond our control. Delivery times are not guaranteed.
Lead Times

Orders placed Monday–Friday are processed the same day.

Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday are processed the next business day (typically Monday).

In-stock items generally ship within 2–3 business days after processing.

Backordered items may require additional time before shipment.
We do our best to list accurate lead times on our website, but these are not guaranteed.
Order Confirmation
As soon as you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation email, which confirms your order was received and your credit card was pre-authorized.
We then contact our suppliers to confirm item availability.

If your item is on backorder, we’ll void the pre-authorization and notify you.

If it’s available for immediate shipment (within 5 business days), we’ll process your payment and submit the order for shipment.
Order Shipment
If your item is in stock and payment has been processed, it will ship within 5 business days.
You’ll receive tracking information via email within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse.
If you haven’t received tracking details after 6 business days, please contact us at support@avarahome.com.
Shipping Restrictions
We currently do not ship outside of the USA, with limited exceptions. If the website allows you to check out using a non-U.S. address (such as select Canadian locations), your order will be fulfilled.
Changing Address
If your order has already been processed or shipped and you need to change the delivery address:

We’ll do our best to accommodate the change.

Expect delays.

Any fees charged by the freight carrier due to the change will be the customer's responsibility.
No exceptions apply.
Shipping Times Disclaimer
All shipping times listed are estimates and not guaranteed.
If a customer cancels an order due to a shipping delay, they will be responsible for:

All shipping charges

Warehouse storage costs

Any related fees
Filing a chargeback due to estimated shipping delays will be considered fraudulent and treated as theft. No exceptions apply.
Missed Deliveries
If a delivery is scheduled and the customer fails to show up, freight carriers typically charge 50% of the original freight amount for a re-delivery.
Customers are fully responsible for all additional charges related to re-delivery.
How to Prepare for Delivery
You must inspect the packaging at the time of delivery.

If there is visible damage, note it clearly on the delivery receipt before signing.

If damage is not noted at the time of delivery, we may not be able to assist with replacements or claims.
If your item(s) arrive damaged, please email support@avarahome.com within 24 hours with the following:

Photos of the damage

The box and packaging

The SKU label

A brief description of the issue
If photos and documentation are not provided within 24 hours, we will be unable to file a freight claim, and no replacement or refund will be issued.
No exceptions apply.
Damaged Items
You are responsible for inspecting your items upon delivery. You must report any damage or defects within 5 business days by emailing support@avarahome.com. Phone calls must be followed by email for documentation.
If you report the issue within 5 business days:
We may offer free replacement parts, a discount, or a full replacement/refund.
Do not use the item while waiting for a resolution.
You will have 3 business days to accept or reject our offer.
Keep all packaging and materials in case the freight carrier needs to inspect the item.

If you do not report the issue within 5 business days:
We will not provide refunds, free parts, discounts, or exchanges.
We can offer replacement parts for purchase.
Please note: Some items may arrive with manufacturing residue. Avara Home is not responsible for cleaning or cosmetic removal.
If you cannot provide all requested documentation within 5 business days, we cannot process your claim.
Missing Items
If a product listed on your delivery receipt is missing, you must:
Mark the receipt as “missing”
Notify the delivery driver at the time of delivery
Contact us at support@avarahome.com within 5 business days
We will contact the carrier to locate the missing item. If it cannot be found, we will send a replacement free of charge.
We reserve the right to deny any claim reported after the 5-day window.
We are not responsible for project delays due to missing items.
We strongly recommend that you do not schedule contractors until all items have arrived and have been inspected.
Stolen Packages (FedEx/UPS)
If your package is marked as “delivered” by the carrier but you did not receive it, you will need to file a claim with the carrier.
Avara Home is not responsible for stolen packages.
Shipping Options
Free Shipping applies to all orders over $199.
Orders under $199 will be charged $19.95 for shipping.
Our default free shipping method is Curbside Delivery, which typically arrives within 5–15 days after your order is placed.
We also offer upgraded delivery options:
Threshold Shipping: Delivery to your porch or garage.
Threshold + Assembly: Threshold delivery plus technician assembly (contact us to schedule). Packaging is not removed.
White Glove Delivery: Full-service delivery to your room of choice, minor assembly, and removal of all packaging materials.
