Cancellations & Refunds

At Avara Home, we pride ourselves on having one of the best return policies in the industry. You can cancel your order any time before it ships—completely free of charge (exceptions apply for custom or made-to-order items, see below).

Cancellations (Before Order Ships)

If you need to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible so we can refund you in full before your order leaves the warehouse.

Cancellations of Custom Orders

Custom or made-to-order products cannot be canceled or refunded as these items are put into production specifically for your order.

These units are custom-built to your specifications and begin manufacturing once the order is placed. Your warranty guarantees a fully functional and operational product.
If you're unsure whether your order is custom or made-to-order, please contact us before purchasing.

All sales are final for custom and made-to-order products.


Refunds and Returns

If you need to exchange a product, you may do so. You are responsible for all shipping costs associated with returns and exchanges.

Transaction fees will also be deducted from your refund. These vary based on your payment method:

  • Standard cards: ~2.9% + $0.30

  • Financing services: ~5.99% + $0.30

Not all products are eligible for return once they’ve shipped. Since we order directly from manufacturers, if a manufacturer does not allow returns, we cannot override that policy. Please contact us for details specific to your product or brand.

Due to rising freight shipping costs, all outright returns are subject to:

  • A 25% cancellation fee

  • Return shipping charges

If you're replacing the product with something else, we may be able to offset some costs depending on the product.


Shipping Times

We do our best to deliver your order as quickly as possible. Estimated shipping times are listed on product pages, but they may change without notice due to:

  • Supply chain delays

  • Manufacturer backlogs

  • Carrier limitations

These issues are outside of Avara Home’s control, and while delays can be frustrating, we appreciate your patience and understanding.


Please Read the Following

When purchasing from Avara Home, you agree to the following Exchange Terms:

  • I will inspect the package upon delivery and notify Avara Home within 24 hours of any visible damage, including photos.

  • I understand I’m responsible for return shipping and the cost of shipping a replacement item, unless the item is defective.

  • Returned products must be unopened and unused. A restocking fee may apply.

  • If my order has shipped, I understand that I will not receive a full refund.

  • If I return an order after it ships, I am responsible for return shipping and a restocking fee of approximately 20%, depending on the item.

  • I understand that shipping estimates are not guaranteed and may change due to external factors.

  • I agree not to file a chargeback due to shipping delays outside of Avara Home’s control.


Damages

It is your responsibility to inspect your delivery for any damage or defects. You must notify us via email within 5 business days of receiving your order.
No exceptions.

If you notify us within the 5-day window:

  • Email support@avarahome.com with photos of the damage, the packaging, and a description.

  • We’ll offer either:

    • Free replacement parts

    • A discount to keep the item as-is

    • A full replacement or refund

Important Notes:

  • Do not use the item before the issue is resolved. Used items are ineligible for replacement or refund.

  • You’ll have 3 business days to accept or reject any discount or replacement offer.

  • Keep the original box and packaging in case the freight carrier needs to inspect it.

If you fail to notify us within 5 business days:

  • No refunds, replacements, or discounts will be offered.

  • We can sell you replacement parts at cost.

Some products may arrive with minor residue from manufacturing. Avara Home is not responsible for any cleaning or cosmetic adjustments required.


Warranty

Warranty policies vary by manufacturer. Please check individual product pages for warranty details.
Note: Warranty claims are only valid for issues that arise over time from use—not damages that occurred during shipping and were not reported within 30 days.


Returns

Avara Home’s default policy is that customers are responsible for:

  • All return shipping costs

  • Any reconsignment fees due to customer error

However, many of our products are backed by guaranteed warranties ensuring you receive a fully functional product with no additional cost. Refer to individual product pages for more information.


BOGO Promotions

If your order includes a BOGO promotion:

  • Both items must be returned for a full refund.

  • If only one item is returned, you may receive a replacement or store credit equal to the standalone price of the returned item.

If your order has shipped, you will also be responsible for:

  • Return shipping

  • Possible restocking fees, depending on the manufacturer

Refunds will only be issued to the original payment method used at checkout.


Chargebacks

Our support team is here to help resolve any concerns you may have.
If an issue arises, we ask that you contact us first at support@avarahome.com. We pride ourselves on fast, fair, and transparent resolutions.

Customers who file a fraudulent chargeback will be held criminally liable for theft. If you haven’t received a product or there is a problem, we are happy to resolve it—please work with us directly.
